Descriptions : Turkish Yeraltındaki yumruları Ekim-Nisan arasında hasat edilerek kış sebzesi olarak sofralık ve yemeklik olarak tüketilen yerelması Bileşikgiller ailesinden bir bitkidir. Anayurdu Amerika kıtası ve özellikle Kanada olan bu çok yıllık dayanıklı otsu bitki, 17. yüzyılda Avrupa'ya getirilmiş ve oradan tüm dünyaya yayılmıştır. 1,5-2 m. kadar boylanabilen yerelması bitkisi ayçiçeğine benzer, ancak daha küçük olan yaprak ve çiçeklere sahpitir. Yazları açan sarı çiçekleri iri papatyaları andırdığından bahçelerde süs bitkisi olarak ta yetiştirilmektedir.
English Jerusalem artichoke which are consumed as a winter vegetable after harvesting between October and April is a plant from compositae family. This perennial herbaceous resistant plant whose homeland is American continent especially Canada was brought to Europe and from there spread throughout the world in 17 century. Jerusalem artichoke which can grow up to 1.5 to 2 m. is similar to sunflower plant but it has smaller leaves and flowers. They are also grown in the gardens as ornamental plants because of its yellow flowers which resembles coarse.
German Jerusalem-Artischocke, die als Winter Gemüse verbraucht werden, nach der Ernte zwischen Oktober und April ist eine Pflanze aus der Familie der Compositae. Diese resistenten Pflanze deren Heimat amerikanischen Kontinent vor allem Kanada ist wurde nach Europa und von dort auf der ganzen Welt im 17 Jahrhundert gebracht. Topinambur, die bis zu 1,5 bis 2 m. wachsen kann ist vergleichbar mit Sonnenblumen Pflanzen, aber es hat kleinere Blätter und Blüten. Sie sind auch in die Gärten angebaut als Zierpflanzen wegen ihrer gelben Blüten, die ähnelt grob.
